Summer afternoon, Musselburgh Harbour 5 Cycling along the harbour wall

Cycle parking at Longniddry station - the only acccess to the cycle route to Haddington is by these steps and the footbridge.

The former Haddington-Longniddry railway route (NCN route 76) - approximate location.

On the A199 they seem to think cyclists in both directions should be on the same shared-use footway - but as this is the former A1 (the modern dual-carraigeway is to the right) it's almost traffic-free - although some cars do move fast.

Section of NCN route 1 paid for by Lafarge Cement, past their Dunbar cement works - linked to an almost traffic-free section of the former A1.

Interesting bit of public art.
